game of thrones fandom blogs are really surreal because they’re engaging whole-heartedly with grrm’s fantasy body of fakey historical documents like they’re larping actual historians, but they’re doing it to answer purely fandom-ish questions like “is this dude a good dude or a bad dude.” we’re talking countless paragraphs trying to parse the reliability and intentions of biased fake narrators and the documentary evidence they left behind to have bitter arguments about whether it’s ok to have a fan crush on a character 0.001% of game of thrones fans have ever even heard of. it’s breathtaking really
